My makeup trial with Make-up Artistry by Rebekah was my fourth. It was a very frustrating process for me because I wasn’t happy with any of my previous trials and they were costing me way too much money. I remember on the day I had my trial with Rebekah, I didn’t even want to go because I was so discouraged and was convinced that once again, I wasn’t going to be happy. But I’m so happy I forced myself to go!

Rebekah had me at hello. Her professionalism is the first thing I noticed as I walked into her home studio. She was ready for me – all her make-up was beautifully laid out, professional lighting was up, there was soft background music playing, a glass of water for me, and beautiful flowers in the room. She made me feel very special and I knew right away that she takes her job very seriously. Rebekah is super friendly and made me feel very at ease.

Although I didn’t see my makeup until she completed my trial, my decision was already made. Rebekah takes her time, she makes sure she has the right colours to match your skin tone, her techniques and precision are very impressive and I love how hygienic she is. Her brushes are all fully cleaned and she never takes products out from the packaging and straight onto your skin. Instead she pours the products onto an immaculate, fully sanitised tile that she uses as her mixing palette. She also uses very high quality products.

I was blown away by the end result. Rebekah highlighted my best features and the make-up lasted the entire day. On the wedding day, Rebekah gave me the lipstick I ordered from her for touch-ups, but along with the lipstick were some mints, blotting papers, tissues, pins, all neatly packaged into a small organza pouch.  Her attention to detail is just out of this world!

I couldn’t have chosen a better make up artist for one of the most important days of my life. It’s not hard to tell how truly passionate Rebekah is about her job.

I am so thankful I stumbled across the Rebekah Foxe MUA instagram page before mine.

Not only was Rebekah professional and extremely organised, she was exactly the kind of person you want there on the day. She was calming, fun and has a huge heart.

I have naturally oily skin which worried me to think about the long day and night my make-up would have to endure but I am so pleased to be able to say that it lasted the whole time – through 70km wind at an outdoor ceremony AND a whole night of dancing. It showed up perfect in photo’s and I received SO many compliments from our guests.

Rebekah did so well to match skin colours and really complimented the theme of the day in the eye colours she used. My Bridesmaids all also agreed that it was the best they had ever had and commented on how lovely it was to have Rebekah there in the room with us on the day!

Choosing the right make-up artist was one of the most important decisions for me. Beautiful make-up can make you feel confident and amazing, but the opposite is true when you feel it’s not right. I wear a full face of make-up almost every day, but I remember forgetting to put mascara on one day when I was going to an event – instead of enjoying myself I felt really self-conscious (and it was only a bit of mascara missing!) I definitely didn’t want to feel like that on my wedding day! I also wanted to look like me – just a little more glamorous!

I am so grateful to the friend who recommended Rebekah. In great frustration I had been telling her of the first trial I had which was a less than positive experience. Meeting Rebekah put all my worries at ease. She asked questions about our wedding, about me, listened to everything and talked through some ideas so she could work my make-up to suit me. We tried a few small variations of lip colour and intensity of eye make-up so it was just right. She was patient and made me feel extremely comfortable and confident in her ability. And above all – I loved my make-up.

On our wedding day she was exactly the kind of person you need in a room – calm, relaxed, warm-spirited. She turned up on time and absolutely professional – she’s also a perfectionist! My Mum and two bridesmaids all whispered separately to me on the day “wow, she’s really good!”

During my trial I had explained to Rebekah that we would be walking over a kilometre from our ceremony to our reception venue and I was worried about my make-up sweating and coming off. I had nothing to worry about – it lasted to the end of the night and it still looked great.

I cannot recommend Rebekah enough – she is so talented, such a professional and a truly lovely person to be around!

First of all, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful and utterly flawless job both yourself and Ange did on myself and my four Bridesmaids!

The whole morning was totally stress-free and absolutely brilliant. Spending the morning of my wedding day laughing is exactly what I wanted.

The make-up stayed on all day and all night (even in the 40 degree heat). The only thing I had to touch up was my lipstick. Perhaps this was due to all the kissing I was doing :). Every photo that I was in was absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to see the professional photos !

I received compliments from so many people saying how beautiful we all looked. So I thank you and Ange very much for your hard work, kind and caring nature you showed us on the day.

I got married in August last year and in the months leading up to the wedding, I was struggling to find the perfect hair and makeup artist. I’d contacted and met a few but they were either too costly or were not as personable as I’d hoped. I was lucky enough to come across Rebekah’s site and from the first contact we’d had, she was so warm and approachable with the questions I’d asked. I had my trial done with her and Angela (her hair stylist) and both were great! My makeup even stayed on after an hour long massage I had done later in the evening!

As for my wedding day, both Rebekah and Angela made my bridal party feel at ease from the minute they walked in at 5am to the final touches. They both knew what ‘look’ we each wanted and achieved them without rushing or taking too long. I received many compliments during and after our big day as to how natural the makeup looked but without looking underdone. I just wanted to say a massive thank you for doing mine and the girls make up on our wedding day. I’m not one to wear makeup very often and I don’t wear a lot so I was a bit worried about getting my makeup for the wedding however I don’t think I could have found anyone better to do it more perfectly! You were calm in all of the commotion and it really helped to calm me down. My makeup was absolutely perfect and lasted all day – just goes to show the quality of the products you use and the quality of the make up artist.
